What is Data Centre Support?

Our Onsite IT Support Engineers are dedicated professionals committed to delivering high-quality services that meet and exceed customer expectations. They are responsible for providing a wide range of infrastructure support, including IMAC, IMACD, and Break-Fix Incident Management Services.

Each engineer works under the guidance of a Campus Manager, a Supervisor, and Schedulers, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational coordination.

From simple tasks like patching and fault diagnosis to complex equipment relocations and large-scale installations, our engineers play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and performance of critical systems across enterprise environments.ng infrastructure, network design, management, and maintenance.

Scope of Services

Technology Room Support & On-Call Services

  • Installation and racking of servers and networking equipment
  • Restack, relocation, and decommissioning of hardware
  • Removal of redundant infrastructure and powered-off devices
  • Equipment movement across site locations, including secure storage
  • Network patching and connectivity validation (WAN & LAN)
  • Labelling and documentation of devices
  • Installation of PDUs (Power Distribution Units) and other rack components
  • Collaboration with Corporate Real Estate on electrical and mechanical provisioning
  • Hardware swaps and troubleshooting

Control Room & Infrastructure Monitoring

  • Regular technology room inspections
  • Alarm investigations (CMS, BMS, Peregrine systems)
  • Identification of outdated or redundant infrastructure
  • Escorting and supervising third-party vendors or internal teams in secure areas

Incident Management

  • Support for KVM/iLO failures and power circuits
  • Environmental troubleshooting (e.g. temperature issues via CRE)
  • Cable tracing and fault testing with Fluke tools
  • Tier 1 & 2 support, including device reboots and connection checks
  • Supervision of third-party vendors and resolution of component issues

Structured Cabling Services

  • Professional cabling installations in line with STS standards
  • Patch management and structured cabling oversight
  • Labeling, testing, and QA of cabling systems
  • Inventory updates and recovery of unused circuits
  • Cable database maintenance and stock control
  • Pre-event tracing and documentation for Merges, Refreshes, and Upgrades

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintenance of accurate service documentation and records
  • Management of tickets and work orders via client systems
  • RMA (Return Material Authorization) processing
  • Activity reporting including shift handovers and task tracking

What We Look for in Our Engineers

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in data center environments or financial/corporate IT settings
  • Solid background in Workplace Technology services (IMACD)
  • Expertise in structured cabling installation and diagnostics
  • Proficiency with Fluke test equipment
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Experience with Asset Management and Ticketing Systems
  • In-depth understanding of change management and service delivery
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Ability to train, supervise, and approve team training milestones
  • Competence in shift management and operational sign-offs
